1. Scope and operator

Hilvia Limited operates the Oil Signals mobile app and the OilTrading website. This policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, the service providers that process it for us, and how you can request deletion.

2. Information we collect

• Account and contact information: your email address, account or user ID, and information you include in support requests. If you separately choose an SMS or telephone service, we may also receive the phone number you provide.
• Device and app information: an app-generated device identifier, a platform device identifier where available, push-notification identifiers, locale, time zone, and notification preferences.
• Subscription and purchase information: the product selected, subscription status, entitlement status, and store transaction or receipt information needed to verify access. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details.
• Website usage information: privacy-focused, aggregated information such as pages viewed and outbound-link events.

Profile images and journal screenshots selected within the app are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to our servers by the current app.

3. How we use information

We use this information to authenticate and manage accounts, provide Oil Signals content, deliver notifications, remember preferences, verify subscriptions and entitlements, provide support, protect the service, and understand website performance. We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party advertising.

4. Service providers

We use service providers to operate the app and website. These include Xano for account authentication and backend services, OneSignal for push notifications, RevenueCat for subscription and entitlement management, and Apple or Google for app-store purchases. Our website also uses privacy-focused analytics infrastructure. These providers process information on our behalf or under their own store terms.

5. Data retention and deletion

We retain account information while your account is active and for the time reasonably needed to operate and secure the service. You can request deletion at any time using our account deletion page. We aim to complete verified requests within 30 days and will also request deletion from relevant service providers where applicable.

We may retain the minimum transaction, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, dispute, or legal records required for those purposes for up to seven years. Any retained record is restricted to that purpose and is not used to provide app features or marketing. Apple and Google may retain their own purchase records under their policies. Deleting your Oil Signals account does not automatically cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription; subscriptions must be cancelled through the store where they were purchased.

6. Security

Information is transmitted using HTTPS. We use access controls and other reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

7. Your choices

You can disable notifications in the app or device settings. You may ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information by contacting us. We may need to verify that a request relates to your account before acting on it.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app, our providers, or legal requirements change. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
